Chinese Delegation Visited Cal State LA and SITI Research Lab

A group of academic faculty and administrators from Shijiazhuang Tiedao University visited Cal State La and SITI Research Lab during their visit to the United States in August 2018. The opportunity of expanding exchange scholar programs and joint graduate studies for the students have been discussed.

City of Los Angeles High-School Bridge Competition

September 04, 2017

The annual high school bridge competition, sponsored by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, was hosted by California State University Los Angeles. SITI team participated in this year's competition as faculty judges and student volunteers. Our contribution was recognized at the City Hall meeting. 

Dr. Mazari Selected as 2017 ASCE ExCEEd Fellow

Dr. Mazari selected as 2017 ExCEEd (Excellence in Civil Engineering Education) Fellow from American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). 

Fellowship Award from National Center for Asphalt Technology

Dr. Mazari was selected to receive the 2107 professor training fellowship award and attend a week-long workshop at National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) in Auburn, Alabama. 

Cal State LA joins UTC consortium

California State University Los Angeles receives transportation research funding from U.S. Department of Transportation through a University Transportation Center (UTC) in collaboration with Colorado School of Mines and Lehigh University. The main focus of the UTC research is Underground Transportation Infrastructures.

SITI Team Wins Outstanding Poster Award at CSULA Research Symposium

March 10, 2017

SITI team participated in the Annual Research Symposium at California State University Los Angeles. Three research posters were presented during the symposium by SITI's undergraduate and graduate students. One of the posters presented by Brian Chua and Segal Ismael was awarded the outstanding poster award at the end of the symposium. CSULA Civil Engineering students in California Transportation Foundation symposium

Cal State LA Civil Engineering students, Alexis Martinez Angeles and Johnathan Marquez, were selected to attend the 2016 California Transportation Foundation (CTF) symposium in Santa Cruz.
